After that, she understood what she did was wrong, she could now see humanity in Miss Lottie. She could identifiy with Miss Lottie as an adult as she could not do before. In the story, Lizabeth shows that her actions were wrong and that she now understands. She is now different because of the experiences she had. Life is not always beautiful but you could always plant some Marigolds to give a little beauty to an otherwise sad existence.
