Address either the psychological or philosophical issues raised by your response. Why, if two wrongs don't make a right, do two negatives make a positive in mathematics?
I would answer no, you would spend a year of happiness and then remember nothing or you can find happiness in the year without having to lose the memories of that year. this can raise issues like depression or anxiety thinking about the wasted year.
