Solve for x the triangles In Each pair LMN~LRS <br> Please help quickly and show work pleasee
Gala2k [10]

Given:

\Delta LMN\sim \Delta LRS

To find:

The value of x.

Solution:

We have,

\Delta LMN\sim \Delta LRS

We know that the corresponding sides of similar triangles are proportional. So,

\dfrac{LM}{LR}=\dfrac{LN}{LS}

\dfrac{18}{2x-18}=\dfrac{30}{10}

\dfrac{18}{2x-18}=3

18=3(2x-18)

Using distributive property, we get

18=3(2x)-3(18)

18=6x-54

18+54=6x

72=6x

Divide both sides by 6.

\dfrac{72}{6}=x

12=x

Therefore, the correct option is A.

I need help on numbers 11-16
agasfer [191]
Recall your SOH CAH TOA, or \bf sin(\theta)=\cfrac{opposite}{hypotenuse}&#10;\qquad \qquad &#10;% cosine&#10;cos(\theta)=\cfrac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}&#10;&#10;\\ \quad \\\\&#10;% tangent&#10;tan(\theta)=\cfrac{opposite}{adjacent}

now, bear in mind that, the opposite side, to an angle, is the side right "in front of it", that is, if you were to put your eye on that angle, "the wall" you'd see on the other end, is the opposite side

the adjacent side, adjacent = next to, is the side that's touching the angle itself

and the hypotenuse, is always the slanted and longest side of all three

for example on 16, tangent of Z

if you put one eye on Z, you'll see on the other end, the side of 30 units
the adjacent side is the one touching Z, or the 40 units side

\bf tan(\theta)=\cfrac{opposite}{adjacent}\implies tan(Z)=\cfrac{30}{40}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;\textit{which can be simplified to }\cfrac{3}{4}&#10;

and you'd do all others, the same way, using those ratios

use \bf sin(\theta)=\cfrac{opposite}{hypotenuse}&#10;\qquad \qquad &#10;% cosine&#10;cos(\theta)=\cfrac{adjacent}{hypotenuse}&#10;&#10;\\ \quad \\\\&#10;% tangent&#10;tan(\theta)=\cfrac{opposite}{adjacent}

I need help to reduce these numbers i need help please
valina [46]
All you have to do is understand what fraction it is and reduce it. So first you have to figure out what the word reduce means and the word means another to figuring it out in its lowest terms and for example, your fraction 2/24 can be reduced in its simplest terms 1/12 and the way i did that was that i'd had to divide both the numerator and denominator by 2 because I know that both the numerator and denominator are divisible by 2 and so if you divide you get 1/16 and that's how you reduce fractions and so follow this procedure and you'll get everything correct.

What is 136°=92°+6r+2°
Lina20 [59]

What is being solved for is r.

136 = 92 + 6r + 2

136 - 92 - 2 = 6r

42 = 6r

r = 6
