Answer:

1) 18

2) 30

3) 6

4) 3000

5) 5

Explanation:

1

25+15+20=60

x/60 = 60/100

x/60 = 3/5

x= 60(3/5)

x=36

50% of 36 is 18

2

x/48 = 75/100

x/48 = 3/4

x= 48(3/4)

x=30

3

x/30 = 60/100

x/30 = 3/5

x = 30(3/5)

x = 6

4

rate = boxes per day per person

r = 1500/4/6

r=62.5

62.5 = x/6/8

500 = x/6

3000 = x

5

rate = task per day per worker

r = 1/7/5

r=0.02857142857

0.02857142857 = 1/x/7

0.2 = 1/x

0.2x = 1

x = 0.2

1/0.2 = 5

Assume that a set of test scores is normally distributed with a mean of 70 and a standard deviation of 10. In what percentile is
vlabodo [156]
Given:
μ = 70, the mean
σ = 10, the standard deviation

The random variable is x = 65.
Calculate the z-score.
z = (x - μ)/σ = (65 -70)/10 = - 0.5

From standard ables, obtain
P(x<5) = 0.3085 ≈ 30%
The score of 65 is in the 30th percentile.

Scott wants to cover his patio with concrete pavers. If the patio is shaped like a trapezoid whose bases are 11 feet and 13 feet
GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

Scott will need 168 ft² of pavers to cover his patio

Explanation:

Scott wants to cover a trapezoid-shaped patio

This means that:

To get the number of square feet of pavers he'll need, we need to get the area of his patio

Area of trapezium id calculated as follows:

Area = \frac{base_{1}+base_{2}}{2} * height

We are given that:

base₁ = 11 ft

base₂ = 13 ft

height = 14 ft

We now substitute with the givens to get the area as follows:

Area = \frac{11+13}{2} * 14 = 168ft^2

This means that:

Scott will need 168 ft² of pavers to cover his patio

Hope this helps :)

Could someone explain how you would solve this? I really don't understand it.
nlexa [21]
Because of rules of geometry we know that a+b=180 degrees so we can add the equations together and set that equal to 180 and solve
6x-48+4x+38=180
subtract 38 from both sides and add 48 to both sides
then add like terms
10x=170
and divide by 10 to get
x=17
