How does private hen johnson himself become a cham in ww1?
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

He only became a champion for being a war hero even though he was not recognized for years after his death.

Explanation:

Hen Johnson was an African American who fought as a US Army soldier in World War I. He suffered a lot of racism within the armed forces, but he was a true war hero winning a fight that few could win.

Johnson, faced hand-to-hand combat with German soldiers. He was very wounded from that fight, but managed to move forward and even with his body severely damaged, he rescued all his living companions who were imprisoned by the Germans. Although he was never recognized alive, what he did makes him a great champion.
