A guardian with drawn sword is also represented near the pillar on the extreme right, it symbolises that the guardian is protecting the principles of the constitution. State of Georgia is written on the top, and at the bottom "1776".
The other side of the seal has " Agriculture and commerce" written on the top. At the centre a ship with anchor is represented near a wharf that is receiving bales of cotton and hogheads. Small boats are also represented that shows internal traffic. A sheep in the shade tree and a man plowing the field show the agricultural aspects of the state.
