In this excerpt from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, what are two reasons that Bob Cratchit considers calling the authorit

ies to take care of Scrooge?
"Hallo!" growled Scrooge, in his accustomed voice, as near as he could feign it. "What do you mean by coming here at this time of day?"
"I am very sorry, sir," said Bob. "I am behind my time."
"You are?" repeated Scrooge. "Yes. I think you are. Step this way, sir, if you please."
"It’s only once a year, sir," pleaded Bob, appearing from the Tank. "It shall not be repeated. I was making rather merry yesterday, sir."
"Now, I'll tell you what, my friend," said Scrooge, "I am not going to stand this sort of thing any longer. And therefore,” he continued, leaping from his stool, and giving Bob such a dig in the waistcoat that he staggered back into the Tank again; "and therefore I am about to raise your salary!"
Bob trembled, and got a little nearer to the ruler. He had a momentary idea of knocking Scrooge down with it, holding him, and calling to the people in the court for help and a strait-waistcoat.
"A merry Christmas, Bob!" said Scrooge, with an earnestness that could not be mistaken, as he clapped him on the back. "A merrier Christmas, Bob, my good fellow, than I have given you, for many a year! I’ll raise your salary, and endeavour to assist your struggling family, and we will discuss your affairs this very afternoon, over a Christmas bowl of smoking bishop, Bob! Make up the fires, and buy another coal-scuttle before you dot another i, Bob Cratchit!"
1-Scrooge is denying the agreement he had made with Bob about Bob's holiday work schedule.
2-In the past, Scrooge has physically abused Bob, so he is afraid for his own safety.
3-Scrooge's mocking behavior toward Bob suggests that he is ill.
4-Scrooge is acting in a way that is far different from how he usually treats Bob.
5-Bob doesn't understand why Scrooge has suddenly become more charitable.

To my understanding, it says on all 3 pages. You only included one page but if I misunderstood and they were asking for only the first page, then I'd say the second sentence of the second paragraph.

Ahat [919]
It could be stated that the connection between this two parts might be related to the role of women in the Middle Ages. In the prologue, the woman is described as being swathed in textile and "textere". this might should the connection between "cloth and "text" at that time. The wife seems to be good at "spinning a tale" she is also good at "spinning cloth".
