Also, s_p=\sqrt{\frac{(n_1-1)\times s_1^{2}+(n_2-1)\times  s_2^{2}  }{n_1+n_2-2} }  = s_p=\sqrt{\frac{(12-1)\times 6.6^{2}+(17-1)\times  8.5^{2}  }{12+17-2} } = 7.782
