According to the book, Masque of the Red Death, the writer talks about a kingdom that is ravaged by a deadly virus that kills people in droves but Prince Prospero believes he can shield himself with his wealth.
He organises a banquet and invites people and at the height of the celebrations, he is confronted by death itself who comes in at the stroke of midnight and the red face of Prospero foreshadows his death.
