Explanation:

Hitler and most Germans at the time felt they were not responsible for the first world war. The debt they owed crippled their economy and starved their children. They saw it as an act that was placed on them to purposely do so. This is why the people of Germany were more than happy for Hitler to take over. He promised a way out of the treaty.
