- The second plan involved a potion that Juliet should drink and that would help her pretend she was dead. This would allow her to escape with Romeo, without her family trying to stop her, and thus, live with her husband in peace.
- The third plan involved sending a letter to Romeo, to let him know that Juliet was not really dead, but she was waiting for him so that she could leave the city with him. Unfortunately, this was the only plan that did not work. Romeo did not receive the letter and received the news that Juliet was really dead, which caused the story to end tragically with the death of both him and her.
