The main lessons in Macbeth deal with the tragic consequences of unbridled ambition and the terrible dangers of absolute power.
inysia [295]

The main lessons of Macbeth can be seen in the:

 • Greed of Lady Macbeth and her husband. They desired the kingship so much so that they plotted the death of the King. Their end was disastrous and this teaches an important lesson on greed.

What is the text about?

The text is about the greed of two persons that led to so much trouble for others and the plotters. We learn of Lady Macbeth and her husband who planned to kill King Duncan after they received a prophecy from the three witches.

Instead of waiting for the natural fulfillment of that prophecy, they decided to take laws into their hands by planning to kill the king. In the end, Lady Macbeth died without the support and love of her husband and the Kingdom suffered horrible consequences.

What happened to flavius and marullus when they removed the trophies from caesar's statues?
Sladkaya [172]
Shakespeare left it unclear, probably on purpose. They, themselves loyal to Pompei, are simply witnesses of the public's change of loyalty. They are also there to notice the crowd's frail affections. There is only one more mentioning of the two of them, later on in Act I, Scene 2, when Casca informs Cassius and Brutus that they have been "put to silence". It probably means they were killed or arrested.
