The North had geographic advantages, too. It had more farms than the South to provide food for troops. Its land contained most of the country's iron, coal, copper, and gold.

How could the Great Depression be a cause of WWII?
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

People be broke homie

Explanation:

The great depression didn't just affect America, it sent the world into a frenzy. Not to mention the Germans were unjustly treated. Their homes were taken and partitioned to different, new countries. They were broke already as all their money was taken, their military was shut down, and don't get me started and the food shortages. Inflation was high enough in Germany and the great depression just made the Germans even more desperate for something they could grasp on to, a small glimpse of a bright future. Hitler was their answer but soon after they got out of that mess not all Germans agreed with hitler's Third Reich.

So the take away is not all Germans in WW2 were Nazis and being broke does crazy things to people.

As commander of the continental army, George Washington _______________. a) had no shortage of Americans willing to volunteer to
iren [92.7K]

Answer:

The correct answer is C.

Explanation:

Understanding the need for a single army to be able to fight on equal terms against British forces, the Second Continental Congress created the Continental Army on June 14, 1775, uniting all colonial forces under a single command. Almost immediately after its creation, delegate John Adams nominated George Washington as commander of the Continental Army. Washington was their most experienced senior officer, and was widely admired, respected and trusted by almost all Patriots. Coming from Virginia, it was believed that a southerner leading northern soldiers would be a uniting factor as well. Washington humbly accepted the post on June 15, and two weeks later was already engaged in his first major combat against the British in Boston. Washington would remain the commander in chief of the Continental Army through the American Revolutionary War, which ended in September 3, 1783.
