Answer: Most of Arabia was under Muslim control by the time Muhammad died. After his death, later caliphs unified Arabia and expanded Islamic territory across the Middle East and North Africa. The fourth caliph was Muhammad´s son-in-law, Ali. After his death, Sunnis and shi´ah split in a dispute over who should be the next caliph.

Explain the role America played in the slave trade

Lowcountry (Chapel Hill: University of North Carolina Press, 1998) and coeditor (with Sean Hawkins) of Black Experience and the Empire: The Oxford History of the British Empire (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2004). He would like to acknowledge in particular the assistance of David Brion Davis, who generously sent him two early chapters from his forthcoming manuscript, "Inhuman Bondage: The Rise and Fall of New World Slavery."

Explanation:

Answer:

Slavery is often termed "the peculiar institution," but it was hardly peculiar to the United States. Almost every society in the history of the world has experienced slavery at one time or another. The aborigines of Australia are about the only group that has so far not revealed a past mired in slavery—and perhaps the omission has more to do with the paucity of the evidence than anything else. To explore American slavery in its full international context, then, is essentially to tell the history of the globe. That task is not possible in the available space, so this essay will explore some key antecedents of slavery in North America and attempt to show what is distinctive or unusual about its development. The aim is to strike a balance between identifying continuities in the institution of slavery over time while also locating significant changes. The trick is to suggest preconditions, anticipations, and connections without implying that they were necessarily determinations (1).

Problem One

Contrary to what many conservatives would like to have as a Christmas present, Education is not a business. So C is not a choice. What you see on your screen is my crocodile tears weeping for their loss.

An outbreak of avian flu and the warning that would come after that is not really business related either. It is just an agency doing it's job. D is not a choice.

Crime makes money the way some businesses do but the FBI working to solve crimes is not really Business related. Not when they are investigating local crime. Hence B is not the answer.

I would have chosen A before I read that it is the department of highways doing the construction of the roadways. It's not the answer.

That leaves us with E. And it is the answer. Ask any cancer patient how they feel about the FDA interfering with possible treatments and stand back a bit. The FDA is not very popular with either Big Pharma or patients, but it is an example of Governments regulating the market place.

Answer E

Problem Two

It's E. The very least he can do is vote for the candidate that he likes. But the real contribution that he can make is to go from door to door and knock on the wood and talk to the people inside.
