  1. This took place in the medieval times. I can infer this because women were still supposed to act a certain way. Not only that, but the guillotine was still being.
  2. The plot of the story is that Carpenters tried to take advantage of Goody Hibbins's wealth, so they overcharged her. She decided to take legal actions against them, and she won. which was a problem in society.
