This reading provides a handy overview of the Baroque period. It tends to focus on characteristics of the late or “mature” Baroque, but is still a valuable overview.Music of the Baroque PeriodThe Baroque period in European music lasted from about 1600 to about 1750. It was preceded by the Renaissance and followed by the Classical period. It was during the Baroque that the major/minor tonal system that still dominates Western Music was established. This period is best known for the complex counterpoint of the mature Baroque, as typified by the work of Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel.

In Pietro Perugino's The Delivery of the Keys (15.55) , the influence of which artist can be seen in the idealization of the fea
Gemiola [76]

Answer:

Andrea Del Verrocchio.

Explanation: Andrea Del Verocchio was also a painter and so it was easy for him to help his fellow painter in "The delivery of the keys" as is common for people in the same field to give each other ideas of their various projects, especially if they have a good working relationship and admire each others work. This was clear between these two great painters from the Roman Empire as seen in the background figures in the painting which were added by Perugino in this Masterpiece, from the suggestion of his fellow painter Andrea Del Verrocchio. It also also widely believed that Andrea inspired most of the apostle figures in the painting including that of St John. He was known for painting figures with flowing attributes, hence the long flowing hair. It is also believed that Perugino learned a lot from Andrea Del Verrocchio therefore he was, we could say a student of the Andrea.

Explain the effect and importance of dynamics in a piece of music. Use accurate terminology. Be as specific as possible. Give ex
Alex17521 [72]
Dynamic in music is critical because it supplies the song with emotion. For instance, in the first score of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, the music uses the loud areas and soft areas to create a sense of the actions it corresponds with in the ballet. The music comes in at Fortissimo to show the villainous nature of Odile, the black swan, but uses a mixture of mezzo piano and subtle decrescendos to depict the sweet nature of the white swan, Odette. Without these dynamics, the music wouldn't be nearly as powerful, and would fail to capture the true expressions it attempted to convey.
