Multiply 1 by eqn 5 and eqn 2 by 2
35x - 10y = 170-------3

subtracting 4 from 3 we have
29 x= 164
divide both sides by 29
x = 164/29
x = 5.65
Put x = 5.65 in eqn 1 to find y
7*5.65 – 2y = 34
39.55 - 2y = 34
39.55-34 = 2y
5.55 = 2y
divide both sides by 2
x = 5.55/2
x = 2.76
