Nonlinear means that -- the graph isn't exactly the line. It's basically a "curve" like parabola.

Non-proportional means that --- the graph doesn't start from the origin point or doesn't start at (0,0).

( A ) is both linear and proportion.

( B ) is proportion BUT NOT LINEAR (It's curved.)

( C ) is linear and proportion.

( D ) Is linear BUT NOT PROPORTION (Doesn't start at (0,0) )

So ( B ) and ( D )

Custom drapes are being fitted for a large circular window. It is difficult to get these measurements, but the window has an 8 f
Arlecino [84]

Answer: 10 ft.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Custom drapes are being fitted for a large circular window.

The window has an 8 ft horizontal shelf with a 2 ft brace that sits in the frame.

Since the brace is extended upward, it would go through the center of the shelf and the circle.

Then the diameter of the circle= the measurement og f horizontal shelf + measurement of brace=8+2=10 ft

Hence, the diameter of the window =10 ft.

650 because they took away two zeros to get 65,000 so you take two zeros away from 65,000 to get 650

Consider an arbitrary ellipse x 2 a 2 + y 2 b 2 = 1. (Assume a, b > 0.) (a) Find a parametrization of the ellipse using the d
uysha [10]

Answer:

α(t) = (-a*Sin(t), b*Cos (t))    where t ∈ [0, 2π]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given an arbitrary ellipse (x²/a²) + (y²/b²) = 1       (a, b > 0)

The parametrization can be as follows

x = -a*Sin(t)

y = b*Cos (t)

then

α(t) = (-a*Sin(t), b*Cos (t))    where t ∈ [0, 2π]

If  t = 0

α(0) = (-a*Sin(0), b*Cos (0)) = (0, b)

If  t = π/2

α(π/2) = (-a*Sin(π/2), b*Cos (π/2)) = (-a, 0)

If  t = π

α(π) = (-a*Sin(π), b*Cos (π)) = (0, -b)

If  t = 3π/2

α(3π/2) = (-a*Sin(3π/2), b*Cos (3π/2)) = (a, 0)

If  t = 2π

α(2π) = (-a*Sin(2π), b*Cos (2π)) = (0, b)

We can see the sketch in the pic.

Find the solution for the system of linear equations by graphing: y=x <br> Y=2x -4
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

x and y = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Since y=x --->         x=2x-4

                              -x  -x

0=x-4

+4   +4  ------------------> Therefore, x= 4 and y= y

If you could graph both lines you would find they intersect at (4,4)
