And, even though I am no longer resentful, thinking of the past still brings back bad memories I wish I could forget. My mother is very harsh when she punishes, even for minor acts of imperfections. Sometimes, I want to forget everything from the past and even things from the present because living with family members who don't share your same beliefs isn't easy.
