Let L and C equal the number of pages that are read by Li Wei and Colleen respectively.

L=90+30h

C=126+24h

They will have read the same number of pages when L=C so we can say:

90+30h=126+24h  subtract 90 from both sides

30h=36+24h  subtract 24h from both sides

6h=36  divide both sides by 6

h=6 hours

So after 6 hours of reading they will both be on the same page.

126+24x=90+30x

x = the number of hours
then you solve the equation
The answer is x=6, so after 6 hours they will be on the same page.

Answer:

1. ∠1 = 120°

2. ∠2 = 60°

3. ∠3 = 60°

4. ∠4 = 60°

5. ∠5 = 75°

6. ∠6 = 45°

Step-by-step explanation:

From the diagram, we have;

1. ∠1 and the 120° angle are corresponding angles

Corresponding angles are equal, therefore;

∠1 = 120°

2. ∠2 and the 120° angle are angles on a straight line, therefore they are supplementary angles such that we have;

∠2 + 120° = 180°

∠2 = 180° - 120° = 60°

∠2 = 60°

3. Angle ∠3 and ∠2 are vertically opposite angles

Vertically opposite angles are equal, therefore, we get;

∠3 = ∠2 = 60°

∠3 = 60°

4. Angle ∠1 and angle ∠4 an=re supplementary angles, therefore, we get;

∠1 + ∠4 = 180°

∠4 = 180° - ∠1

We have, ∠1 = 120°

∴ ∠4 = 180° - 120° = 60°

∠4 = 60°

5. let the 'x' and 'y' represent the two angles opposite angles to ∠5 and ∠6

Given that the two angles opposite angles to ∠5 and ∠6 are equal, we have;

x = y

The two angles opposite angles to ∠5 and ∠6 and the given right angle are same side interior angles and are therefore supplementary angles

∴ x + y + 90° = 180°

From x = y, we get;

y + y + 90° = 180°

2·y = 180° - 90° = 90°

y = 90°/2 = 45°

y = 45°

Therefore, we have;

∠4 + ∠5 + y = 180° (Angle sum property of a triangle)

∴ ∠5 = 180 - ∠4 - y

∠5 = 180° - 60° - 45° = 75°

∠5 = 75°

6. ∠6 and y are alternate angles, therefore;

∠6 = y = 45°

∠6 = 45°.

A year membership to Fun Zone costs $45 plus $1 per visit. A one-month membership costs $5 plus $3 per visit. Which multi-step e
Margaret [11]

Answer:

y = $45 + x

y = $5 + 3x

Step-by-step explanation:

The computation of the multi-step equations be shown below:

Let us assume the number of visits be x

So the first equation would be

y = $45 + x

And, the second equation would be

y = $5 + 3x

These are the multi-step equations with variable on the both sides

Pls help me with this math!
Neko [114]

Answer:

x = 50.60 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given triangles ΔMAB and ΔMNP are smilar accordingly their corresponding sides are proportional.

But first we will determine the size of the side MA:

MA = MN - AN = 46.2 - 14 = 32.2 cm

Now we will make proportion:

MN : MA = MP : MB  =>  46.2 : 32.2 = 72.6 : x

When we multiply external and internal members we get:

46.2 x = 72.6 · 32.2 => x = 72.6 · 32.2 / 46.2 = 2337.72 / 46.2 = 50.60 cm

x = 50.60 cm

God with you!!!
