Women started joining the workforce much more. It was expected of women to be housewives and not work before world war 2 but everything changed after the war. Second wave feminism encouraged them to be independent and get jobs and participate in the society and do what they want, not what the society expects them to do.
The French ship called Isere was the one who carried the Statue of Liberty across the Atlantic and reached the United States of America on June 17, 1885. It was dedicated triumphantly in the Upper New York Bay with a celebration lead by President Grover Cleveland.
