Why do we call the conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union the Cold War? Why did it never become a real war?

If the Cold War escalated, it would have been a nuclear war. The world was still pretty fresh off of WW2 and the last thing they needed were to giant nations throwing nuclear bombs across the world. Instead of the two superpowers fighting a nuclear war, they instead fought loads of mini proxy wars. Examples of these are the Angolan Civil war, Korean War and the Vietnam war. Sometimes they did get directly involved but that was rare. In short, the Cold War was not a conventional one, but a silent one that occurred across the world where two superpowers expanded their influence until one collapsed.

What did the 38th demand of the Magna Carta (Primary Sources) basically say
GuDViN [60]
The 38th demand or clause basically says that the sovereign's (the king's) power is limited. According to this clause, nobody can be tried without the testimonial of independent witnesses. Until then, the king, as a supreme ruler, could do whatever he wanted, without providing a fair trial for the accused. Therefore, the court should now be independent and free of king's power.
