Solution:

To draw inscribed polygons

we need to draw line segments as well as interior angles.

And for line segments we need rulers and for drawing angles we may require compass as well as Protractor.

And to draw parallel lines ,we need

1. Ruler and compass only, because we need to create any of the following

(a) Alternate interior angles should be equal.

(b) Corresponding angles should be equal.

Option (A) A protractor is used to take measurements.

The correct answer is:

C) a compass is used to copy an angle.

Explanation:

When constructing parallel lines through a given point and a line:

Draw an arc from the point intersecting the line in two points.

Set the compass to a little over half of the distance between the points.

Draw an arc from each of these two points on the line (if the given point we start with is above the line, draw this arc below; if the given point is below the line, draw this arc below).

These arcs will intersect. Draw a point at their intersection.

Draw a line from our initial given point to this point.

Decrease the length of the width of your compass. Draw an arc from the original given point that intersects this new line in two points (one above, one below).

Widen the compass and draw an arc from both of these two points out from the initial given point.

These two arcs will connect; draw a point at their intersection. Draw a line from this point to the original given point.
