Step-by-step explanation:

Hey there!

<u>Note</u><u>:</u><u> </u><u>Use</u><u> </u><u>double</u><u> point</u><u> formula</u><u> for</u><u> finding</u><u> </u><u>the</u><u> eqaution</u><u> which</u><u> </u><u>pass</u><u>es</u><u> through</u><u> </u><u>two</u><u> </u><u>points</u><u>.</u>

Given;

The points are; (1,-3) and (3,1).

<u>Use</u><u> </u><u>dou</u><u>ble</u><u> point</u><u> formula</u><u>.</u>

<u>(y - y1) =  \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x2} (y - y1)</u>

<u>Put</u><u> </u><u>all</u><u> </u><u>values</u><u>.</u>

<u>(y  + 3) =  \frac{1  + 3}{3 - 1} (x - 1)</u>

<u>Simpl</u><u>ify</u><u> it</u><u>.</u>

<u>(y + 3) =  \frac{4}{2} (x - 1)</u>

<u>y + 3 = 2(x - 1)</u>

<u>y + 3 = 2x - 2</u>

<u>y  = 2x - 2 - 3</u>

<u>y = 2x - 5</u>

Therefore, the eqaution is y = 2x-5.

Alternative:

<u>Steps</u><u>:</u>

  • Find slope using slope formula and use one point formula.
  • Simplify in the form of y = mx+c form.

Formula:

  • Slope = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
  • One point formula= (y-y1)= m(x-x1)

The points are; (1,-3) and (3,1).

Now;

Slope= (1- (-3))/(3-1)

= (1+3)/2

= 2

Again;

Using one-point formula.

(y+3) = 2(x-1)

y+3= 2x-2

y = 2x -5

Therefore, the equation is y = 2x-5.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!! What is the volume of the cube?
tatiyna
The answer is A. 3375 mm^3. This is because, since it is a cube, all of the sides are the same, meaning that you have to do 15 × 15 = 225, and then multiply that by 15 which is 3375. I hope this helps!

6th grade math ! help me please :)
malfutka [58]
1. N + 2; n = 6: the answer is 8 because n=6 so we sub n with that... and we get 6+2 and that’s 8.

2.5f; where f=4: the answer is 20 because when a variable is directly next to a number it is multiplied by that number so we will replace f with 4 and our equation is now 5(4) or 5•4 and both are equivalent to 20.

3. 7b-2; where b=5: the answer is 33 because 7 multiplied by 5(b) minus 2= 7(5)-2 or 7•5-2= 33 because you will multiply 7 by 5 and get 33 then you will subtract by 2 and get 33.

Hope this helps!!!

4. Explain how to use multiplication to find
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

  2/8

Step-by-step explanation:

To find an equivalent of a fraction, multiply numerator and denominator by the same value:

  1/4 = (1/4)(2/2) = (1·2)/(4·2) = 2/8

How do you do this question?

<h3>4 Answers: A, B, C, D</h3>

=======================================================

Explanation:

f(x) is continuous when x >= 1. The only discontinuity for f(x) is when x = 0, but 0 is not part of this interval.

f(x) is positive for any valid x value in the domain since x^6 is always positive. In general, x^n is positive for all x when n is any even number.

f(x) is decreasing. You can see this through a table of values or through a graph. For anything in the form 1/(x^k), it will be a decreasing function because x^k gets larger, so 1/(x^k) gets smaller, when x goes to infinity.

--------------------

The conditions to use the integral test have been met. So we have to see if \displaystyle \int_1^{\infty}f(x)dx converges or not.

Let's integrate and find out

\displaystyle \int \frac{1}{x^6} dx = \int x^{-6} dx\\\\\\ \displaystyle \int \frac{1}{x^6} dx = \frac{1}{1+(-6)}x^{-6+1}+C\\\\\\ \displaystyle \int \frac{1}{x^6} dx = \frac{1}{-5}x^{-5}+C\\\\\\ \displaystyle \int \frac{1}{x^6} dx = -\frac{1}{5}*\frac{1}{x^5}+C\\\\\\ \displaystyle \int \frac{1}{x^6} dx = -\frac{1}{5x^5}+C\\\\

So we have

\displaystyle g(x) = \int f(x) dx\\\\\\\displaystyle g(x) = \int \frac{1}{x^6} dx\\\\\\\displaystyle g(x) = -\frac{1}{5x^5}+C\\\\\\

Meaning that,

\displaystyle \int_{a}^{b} f(x) dx = g(b)-g(a)\\\\\\\displaystyle \int_{a}^{b} \frac{1}{x^6} dx = \left(-\frac{1}{5b^5}+C\right)-\left(-\frac{1}{5a^5}+C\right)\\\\\\\displaystyle \int_{a}^{b} \frac{1}{x^6} dx = -\frac{1}{5b^5}+\frac{1}{5a^5}\\\\\\

If we plug in a = 1 and apply the limit as b approaches positive infinity, then the expression -\frac{1}{5b^5}+\frac{1}{5a^5} will turn into \frac{1}{5}

Therefore,

\displaystyle \int_{1}^{\infty} \frac{1}{x^6} dx = \frac{1}{5}\\\\\\

Because this integral converges, this means the series \displaystyle \sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\frac{1}{n^6} also converges as well by the integral test.
