Dearest brother,
Having moved to Korea has been an intriguing experience for I can finally fondle my darkest ideals. In my hands, I have the endless possibilities to indulge in the art of making money through my gift of speaking to the dead. And, if you could see brother I already have many clients who are after me begging to communicate with their beloved friends and family members who have crossed the line and are now roaming through the land of the living as spirits. Individuals come and go, in and out my dark apartment. They come for hope, with the faith that they shall communicate with their loved one’s. You have no idea how it pities my heart my brother to see them in such situation, the pain they have of them loosing a loved one. Still, it’s a relief that I help them. Yet, sometimes I feel like the spirits are not the original people that died, but instead demons. Could it be brother? I am puzzled by this, and I’m not sure if what I’m doing is the correct thing anymore. Do reply back as fast as you can. Thank you brother for your time and patience. I dearly care about you.

Answer:
The factors that influence what I feel about myself are gender and appearance.
A person can develop a more positive self-concept by becoming contented of himself and not comparing himself to other people.
Explanation:
Self-concept- Generally speaking, self-concept is defined as a person's thought about his own behavior, abilities and characteristics. It can be divided into two, positive self-concept and negative self-concept.
Positive self-concept- A person who values himself has a positive self-concept. It gives the person the ability to cope with different problems involving himself. He often has a big confidence and feels secure.
Negative self-concept- A person who has a hard time accepting criticisms or negative feedback has a negative self-concept. He lacks confidence and is insecure.
For me, gender and appearance influence my self-concept. My gender tells me the positive side of being a woman (since I'm a lady). It gives me awareness on how a good woman should behave in the society. Next, my appearance. As I get older, I realize that I needed to change my fashion according to my age. This affects my self-concept.
In order to have a positive self-concept, it is very important to accept your flaws as a person. If you're contented of who you are, you will feel more secure. You also won't get trapped in competing with other people for power and fame. Comparing yourself with others will make you even more distant and insecure.
