The Hammurabi Code was a written cuneiform code used in the Babylonian empire. It was invented by King Hammurabi when he reigned from 1792 B.C. to 1750 B.C. The code is made up of 282 rules that tell people what to do and not to do. For Example, in the USA we have rules everyone needs to follow. Like speed limits and paying fines.
