Answer:

oxidation

Explanation:

oxidation is a chemical weathering process whereby the iron compounds in the rock react with the oxygen in the air to produce a reddish brown coating.

it occurs only on rocks that contain iron for example sandstone. the dissolved oxygen in both the soil and air react with the iron minerals in rocks to oxidize and become iron oxide and the iron becomes rust forming the red color. iron oxide either remains in the soil or rocks as reddish brown coating or in waterlogged areas it can be removed in solution.

the chemical process for oxidation is FeO=Fe2O3

Explain the positive and negative effects of the Green Revolution on the environment and the farming industry in general.
Nostrana [21]

The Green Revolution resulted in big changes, both for the environment and for the agriculture. The effects on the environment were mostly negative. The Green Revolution was responsible for the large scale usage of pesticides and artificial fertilizers, and that resulted in pollution of the groundwater, as well as destroying lot of population of wild flora and fauna. The effects on the agriculture were mostly positive. The implementation of pesticides and fertilizers resulted in much bigger production of agricultural goods, which provided much more food on the market, as well as lowering its price and making it more available.
