Many health conditions, such as thyroid issues (many known as hypothryoidism) can effect the metabolism and make it difficult to lose weight. A bad mental health Can also lead to weight gain. Mental health issues such as eating disorders, depression, and others can effect eating habits and cause you to eat too much. Risk factors that people do have if they do have obesity can include but not limited to: many types of cancers, heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.
• how can the community help fix the problem? Well, one thing that can help is promoting healthy eating and excising. The community could influence people to walk more, by having many walks in support of a disease and adding more bike trails can help give the resources to people who wants to lose weight.
Another way that the community could help is to vote for politicians in the community who stands for better healthcare. Better healthcare can benefit people who need to lose weight by getting support by (both medical and mental) health.
