English
2 answers:
Ksenya-84 [330]3 years ago

Answer:

In the last paragraph, the authors’ claim is that modern shoes are often made of synthetic materials and are also designed for a variety of purposes. The authors point out that today shoes are “available for running, bowling, and other sports” and are even “considered an important fashion accessory.” The authors’ overall claim in “Shoes: Feet First!” is that humans have been wearing shoes for many years to enable them to walk long distances in tough conditions. This paragraph refines this claim by showing that shoes have evolved beyond their early purpose to include other purposes.

Explanation:

That was the sample answer. (Make sure you don't just put that word for word)

State the author's claim (remember to put which paragraph it's from). Then list the details. You can introduce them with "the text says" or "the author said". Finally write how the paragraph relates to the claim of the entire passage.
