Part A which statement best expresses a theme of the short story Blue
Reptile [31]

Answer:

B. Sharing one's feelings through writing can help one overcome emotional stress and connect with others.

Explanation:

The short story, 'Blue', by Francesca Lia Block tells the story of a young girl named La who was deserted by her mother. La's mother was a poet who truly cared for La when she was still around. La came back from school on a fateful day to be told by her father that her mother left. Thankfully, a creature named Blue was there to console La and tell her things abut her mother. La eventually, tried connecting to a friend in school named Chelsea, who saw her as weird when she told her about Blue.

Later in school when Miss Rose their teacher told them to write about someone they love, La wrote about her mom. The story had a captivating appeal that connected La to both her teacher and fellow students. The effect of the story made Chelsea sympathize with La. La also felt better along with her father who was also writing about his wife. This shows that writing can help one overcome emotional stress and connect with others.
