Explanation:

Traditionally, women in Greek stories have not been so independent and proactive. This is because women used to be submissive and respectful of rules, always obeying the advice that other women had to give and accepting the circumstances that were imposed on them. The most rebellious behaviors were directed at male characters who tend to act according to their own convictions.

However, Antigone decided to adopt this more rebellious behavior, in the name of the welfare of her brother's soul. For when he receives orders that his brother should not be buried and when receiving advice not to disobey the orders, Antígona decides to act according to what she believes and to bury her brother as she wants.
