1. The worker is a servant, and seems to be maybe a kitchen servant specifically.

2. Even though the worker is a servant clearly, they don’t let that get to them. The worker seems a little optimistic, even.

6. “They” seems to mean the servant’s owners.

7.  In the poem, the narrator is a servant, and racism was still extremely rampant in the early 1900’s.

The gerund ends in -ing and functions as a noun. The infinitive is the base form of a verb with to. A participle is a verb that ends in -ing (present participle) or -ed, -d, -t, -en, -n (past participle). Participles may function as adjectives, describing or modifying nouns. Therefore i'd say it would be participle
