The time after the War of 1812 from 1816 to 1828 is referred to as the Era of Good Feelings. The US moved to a one party system with everyone being a Democratic-Republican or Nationalist Republican (same group). Everyone agreed the country needed to industrialize and all politicians began moving the US that direction with a new bank and money for roads, canals, and eventually railroads. <span />
