Increased atmospheric carbon dioxide negatively affects coral reefs by: select one:

Biology

Increased atmospheric carbon dioxide will diffuse to the ocean water (since normally, there is lower concentration of dissolved carbon dioxide in the ocean water). The dissolved carbon dioxide takes into the form of carbonic acid thereby increasing acidity of ocean water. More often than not, the acidification of ocean water leads to detrimental results especially in marine organisms that are pH sensitive such as coral reefs and many invertebrates.

Why do melting ice caps make Earth warmer?
frozen [14]

Why do melting ice caps make Earth warmer?

The correct answer is C. Albedo decreases.

When the albedo is lower, more radiation from the Sun gets absorbed by the planet resulting in rise of temperature. When the snow covered area warms up and melts, the albedo goes down and more sunlight is absorbed in that area and the temperatures increase.

Which two genes in the diagram are most likely to be separated during a crossover event? a. Black body and reduced bristles c. A
slega [8]
The correct answer is C : Aristaless and speck wing

As you can see in the diagram presented below, the two genes are on the same chromosome, but they are very far apart from each other.

Why is this important?
Genes on the same chromosome can be separated in a process called the crossing-over. The crossing over is a process that occurs in meiosis in which the two homologous chromosomes randomly exchange parts of their sequence. The farther apart the two genes are on the chromosome, the more likely is that during crossing over they will be separated. Likewise, the closer the two genes are the more likely it is that they will cross-over to the other chromosome together.
