There are four doctors in the city. Their offices are located in four different parts of the city ( south street, downtown, outs

kirts alley, and west street). Kevin is trying to figure out which doctor has the most patients. He observed that the downtown and west street areas have larger population. He Concurred that the doctors in those areas have more patients. After comparing those two areas, he decided that the west street doctor had the most patients because the area had the most traffic. What changes to kevin technique would have giving him a better understanding of which doctor has most patients?

What value should be added to the expression to create a perfect square?
Shalnov [3]
Let's take a look at a perfect square trinomial.

(x+7)^2

We can distribute this expression to get x^2+14x+49.

An important relation to recognize here is that the constant is the square of half of the x value.

Now, if we wanted to add a number to x^2+16x to make a perfect square trinomial, we could have the value of x and then square it.

Half of 16 is 8, and 8 squared is \boxed{64}

A computer simulation tossed a 10-faced die 5 times. How many possible outcomes exist?
Sever21 [200]
The answer to the problem wherein a computer simulation tossed a 10-faced die 5 times and you have to compute for the possible outcomes is simple. The answer is 18,144, 000 possible outcomes (if it's a combination). I got this through simply getting the 10! (3,628,800) and multiplying it 5.

However, if order is important (permutation), the number of possible outcomes is is 30240.
