Prejudice is a negative feeling that people have about something or someone based on preconceived notions. Prejudice is essentially disliking something or someone even though there isn't enough reason to justify that dislike.
Prejudice is not only racial in nature even though that forms a large part of it. A person can also be prejudiced against other social groups such as religions or nationality. Another big prejudice is based on gender as well. Prejudice transcends race.
The Supreme Court voted to end Public School segregation. It was a landmark case that overturned the 'Separate but Equal' Legislation proving that the schools were separate, but not equal.
