He saw the faces of those whom he loved at his birthday celebration.

She saw a lady whom she presumed worked at the store, and she asked her a question.

Here dwells an old woman with whom I would like to converse.

'Whom' is used in place of who, and i like to use it as shown in the last one, unnecessarily and to add more words to the text, and to make it sound more put together.

It has come to my knowledge that Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area intends to close down the Osisioman Orphanage Home due to scarcity of funds to continue the smooth running of the orphanage home.

Sir, I wish to remind you that the well-being of the people is the primary responsibility of government. Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area has the highest number of homeless children and orphans in Abia State. Closure of this orphanage implies that these children will be sent out to the street without anyone to carter for them.

The danger of having such massive number of children out on the streets is that they may be turned into criminals by unscrupulous elements in society who seek to exploit the vulnerability of this group of people to achieve their selfish ends.

We are already overwhelmed by the current security challenges in this part of the state, we definitely do not want to create more problems for ourselves by churning out potential hoodlums from this orphanage home.

I beg you sir to rescind your earlier decision and allow the orphanage home to continue in the interest of common good.

Hi Aarroy,

Who is your favorite fictional character? It doesn't have to be someone from a classic novel unless your teacher specified. It can be a character from a movie you love etc.

In order to write a "descriptive" paragraph, all you have to do is describe the character you choose using vivid language. For instance, if I was writing about Darcy from Pride and Prejudice I could write;

"He has silvery blue eyes and an intimdating stature." etc.

Just write about your character's appearance as well as his personality.

Metaphors are comparisons that do NOT use like or as. For instance, I could write:

"Darcy's personality is an onion; with an outward appearance that first appears cold but whose inner layers reveal his insecure and fragile nature."

I know that sounds like a mouthful, but I am comparing Darcy's personality to an onion without using like or as, which is a metpahor.
