My position on this topic is to keep the school year the way it is. While extra school time is good for your education the student may feel overwhelmed and over worked, no matter what age he/she is.
1. If this is in the case of a child kids need to be kids give them a break.
2. If this is in the case of a older child (high school age) they already have loads of work so extending that would cause a lot of stress.
3. Lastly, you know no one is going to vote for this change.

Making inferences means to draw reasonable conclusions. This process involves analyzing the evidence of the text because this is the support of the inference and using background knowledge or information you already know.
Observation about life
A story's theme is the author's main idea or message. This is usually an observation about life. Many times in young adult fiction these themes revolve around topics such as coming of age, death, belonging, and relationships. Romeo and Juliet has many great themes about how impulsivity can lead to one's death or how a family feud can take away the things that families value most. Moral statements are usually reserved for fables. General subject matter is not a theme but instead a topic. A point of view on a difficult topic is a person's perspective.
