The local government was created in a bid to reach the grassroots, those areas which seem so far from the city a d ensure they aren't left behind in governance. Those residing in local and remote areas could best be described as those targeted by the local government which I believe is a good initiative as these people also have rights to vote and they do exercise their franchise during the electioneering process. In terms of development, it is actually skewed with certain communities enjoying greater benefits owing to reasons such as partisanship, thought of some communities being in allegiance with an opposition and in some cases inadequate resources to cater for communities with enormous restructuring.
