The Civil War changed the existences of regular folks just as those of officers. Ladies needed to take care of and care for families natively constructed while assuming control over the obligations that their spouses had before the conflict. Individuals on the home front needed to manage expansion, absence of provisions, infections and long occasions with no information on their friends and family.
