Answer:

f(x) = x² + 2x + 1

Step-by-step explanation:

you know how to multiply 2 expressions ?

let's say in general we have

(a + b)(c + d)

you take one part of one expression and multiply it with all parts of the other expression, then you take the second part of the first expression and multiply it with all parts of the other expression, then a potential third part, then a fourth part and so on, and you add all these things together (well, depending on the actual signs, of course).

so, we get for this simple generic example

a×c + b×c + a×d + b×d

now we use that understanding for our question here.

(x+1)(x+1) = x×x + 1×x + x×1 + 1×1 = x² + x + x + 1 = x² + 2x + 1

Karolina [17]

Let's first find how many students bring their lunch to school. This is 30% of 300. To find this value, convert the percentage to a fraction (or decimal) and multiply:

30\% \,\, \textrm{of} \,\,300 = \dfrac{3}{10} \cdot 300 = \dfrac{900}{10} = 90

Since 90 students bring their lunch to school, we can say 210 students do not bring their lunch to school. (300 - 90 = 210)

9 packages of grape cost $24 how many packages of grapes can you buy for $8
Leto [7]
Ok. First you have to find the unit rate. Since you can buy 9 packages of grapes for $24, then you can get 1 grape package for $2.6667. If you have $8, you can buy 3 packages of grapes.
