Answer:

306 square inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

All surfaces of the cubes are exposed to the outside except 2 ( where 2 of the cubes join).

6 separate cubes have 6 * 6 faces exposed so this object has 36 - 2 = 34 surfaces exposed.

Each face of one cube = 3*3 = 9 in^2.

Therefore the surface area =  9 * 34 = 306 in^2.

Explain how you can check whether a number is written correctly in scientific notation.
wariber [46]
Answer

Scientific notation review
A number is written in scientific notation when there is a number greater than or equal to 1 but less than 10 multiplied by a power of 10.
If we have a number greater than 10, we move the decimal point to the left until we have a number between 1 and 10. ...
Let's write 604 , 000 604{,}000 604,000 in scientific notation.

Teresa needs to save $25.50 to go to the movies this weekend. She currently has $3. If Teresa makes $7.50 an hour babysitting, h
Aleksandr [31]

If we set the amount of hours she needs to babysit as x, his word problem can be shown as:

3+ 7.50x = 25.50

Now we can just solve for x

25.50-3= 22.50

22.50/7.50 = 3

Therefore she has to babysit 3 hours

The total cost to rent a row boat is $14 times the number of hours the boat is used. Write an equation to model this situation i
Damm [24]
14h = c

If c = the total cost, then the equation should end with "= c" because we're trying to find the total cost of renting a row boat.

If the row boat is $14 per hour, that's 14 x hours, or 14h.

Therefore, 14h = c.

Hope this helps

Figure B is a scaled copy of Figure A.
Elena L [17]

Answer:

Scale factor = 3 : 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Scale factor of figure = \frac{\text{Side length of image}}{\text{Side length of actual}}

From the graph attached,

Scale factor = \frac{\text{Side length of figure B}}{\text{Side length of figure A}}

                    = \frac{3}{1} [Since size of every square of the graph is same]

                    = 3

Therefore, scale factor of figure A to figure B is 3.

In other words ratio of the size of figure A to figure B will be 3 : 1.
