Answer:

The correct answer is - C. Chelex extraction.

Explanation:

Chelex extraction is a DNA extraction method that involves a Chelex100 chelating resin that prevents DNA degradation by traping the degradative enzymes and from potential contaminants.

In absence of this Chelex resin, a styrene polymer resin that binds metal ions that might inhibit downstream analyses. This process involves a commercially used Chelex 100 which is a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer that has paired iminodiacetate ions, which act as chelating groups in binds metal ions.

What property makes phospholipids ideal building blocks for cell membranes?
Papessa [141]

Answer:

They have hydrophilic heads and hydrophobic tails.

Explanation:

Phospholipid membranes are comprised of a chain of lipids. These typically are arranged in a bilayer; the hydrophilic lipid heads are polar, and face outwards, while the hydrophobic tails are polar facing inwards.

The membranes are selectively permeable, and only allow the movement of small, non-polar molecules through the bilayer.

What major factors affected earth's changing climates?
Flura [38]
I just had this answer but it hasn't been graded. I put 1. Meteor impacts, 2. volcanic gases and 5. Milankovitch cycles. I didn't put earthquakes because I wouldn't think it would affect the climate changing since they just affect ground movement.
