if a 16 ounce nectar feeder concede about 80 hummingbirds a day how many hummingbirds would you expect to be able to feed with a
tekilochka [14]
In the given question, it is already given that the 16 ounce feeder can feed about 80 humming birds. It has to be found the number of birds that a 12 ounce feeder can feed.
Now coming back to the problem.
The number of humming birds that a 16 ounce feeder can feed = 80
The number of humming birds that 1 ounce feeder can feed = (80/16) * 1
                                                                                                 = 5 * 1
                                                                                                 = 5 birds
Then
The number of humming birds that a 12 ounce feeder can feed = (12 * 5) birds
                                                                                                       = 60 birds
So a 12 ounce feeder can feed 60 humming birds.

rate=1.28571428571.. (1.29) miles per minute, or 77.1428571429.. (77.14) mph

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>"use distance = rate time (d=rt) to find the number of miles per hour Etty must drive to go 45 miles in 35 minutes. ( remember time is written in hours?"</em>

distance=rate*time--- we know distance and time

45 mi= rate*35

rate=45/35

rate=1.28571428571 miles per minute, or 77.1428571429 mph

6/8=y/16 how do you find the proportion of value y
Katarina [22]
You can set both fractions to have the same denominator by multiplying 6/8 (both the 6 and 8) by 2 to keep the value of the fraction, while turning the denominator to 16. So you get 12/16=y/16.
That means for the equation to be true y has to be 12.

Hope this helps!
