In 150-200 words, give your opinion as to why secularism began and how it influenced the political landscape during the Renaissa
Usimov [2.4K]

Secularism was a social movement that separates religion from the ordinary life in the middle age. Secularism rejects religious ideas that once dominated the European medieval times, such as the focus on God in everything, human condemnation, and permanent praying or meditation.

Secularism initiated as a confrontation or reaction to religious ideas in the medieval times in Europe. People realized that the human being was very important and had values that should be respected by the monarchies. This made possible a better recognition of human achievements in culture and arts.

The influence that secularism had on the Renaissance over politics can be found in the works of Niccolo Machiavelli. The ideas he expressed in “The Prince” were of the utmost influence in the Renaissance and it still is a very influential book in today’s politics.

Thomas Hobbes and John Locke also were part of political ideas during the Renaissance. Hobbes, with his theory of Social Contract, and Locke with his ideas in the Two Treatises of Government.

How would you have responded to the rising Cold War tension?
katrin2010 [14]

Answer:

This is entirely opinionated, but I'll remind you how much tension the Cold War brought. You can answer it either as a citizen or a world leader, I think.

Explanation:

The Cold War brought fear into practically everyone. Everyone was second guessing their friends, families, neighbors, even bosses to being Communist spies. The fear of someone, even in the government, being a spy wreaked havoc in society. Television began broadcasting commercials of what to do if your neighbor is a spy, there were advertisements in the paper, you couldn't go anywhere without being reminded of the Cold War. No Russian was trusted at this time. Not to mention there was the fear of a nuclear attack. There were fallout shelters made in people's homes, schools, and community gathering places. Cartoons were made for children to teach them what they should do if a nuclear warhead were to hit. It was basically Hell.

why did the economy of the french colonies in america 's depend on a good relationship with native americans
balu736 [363]
Because of the fur trade.

The fur trade was main form of economy for the French colonies and the French got their fur from you guessed it, Native Americans. French colonists are an exception when it comes to dealing with Native Americans as they had good relationship with them and did not thought of them as inferior. They traded European goods for furs and the Native Americans even helped them by showing them goods hunting spots. So their relationship was one of cooperation.
