Answer:
"be approved".
Explanation:
The word <em>"ratification"</em> means to be accepted, to get consent, be formally approved. It signifies the formal acceptance of anything, making it legally binding.
In the given excerpt from the Equal Rights Amendment hearing, the phrase that helps explain the word<em> </em><em><u>"ratification"</u></em><u> is </u><em><u>"be approved"</u></em>. This means that the proposed amendment of the Equal Rights has been approved by "35 States", making it officially valid.
Answer:
The correct answer is actually letter A) Moreover, students will benefit from having the most current information.
Explanation:
We are looking for the sentence that uses formal language properly. The one that does so is letter A.
Informal language is more casual and spontaneous. It shows a preference for shorter, simpler words, and conveys the message in a more direct way. Formal language is employed in certain spoken situations - a lecture or an interview, for instance - and is preferable when writing essays or academic papers. It takes grammatical rules into consideration, and the tone is more impersonal.
Let's compare:
No wonder he didn't show up! (Informal)
His failing to attend comes as no surprise. (Formal)
Letter A presents a formal-language version of sentence 6. "Not to mention" becomes "moreover"; "the pluses" become "benefit"; "the latest and greatest info" becomes "the most current information". The message is the same, but the observance of grammatical rules and impersonal tone is different.
Note*: Letter B did well up until the word "info", which is a bit informal. Also, it fails to mention that it is a plus, that students will benefit from the access. Thus, it is not the best option to revise the sentence.

First off, for those who don't know, these are 2 good books I was forced to read about a month ago or so by my teachers. Now onto the point:
These 2 books are very good. The Tigers Whisker, for example, is about a lady who's husband goes to war, and when he comes back, he is "petrified" you could say. He has seen many things you couldn't even think of. And that made him just sit in his chair, and not do anything. Just sit there thinking on his rocking chair. The wife wanted to help him, and support him, and make him normal again! So she went to the hermit dude to ask him for help, and he said "Get me a rose, (I think) and the whisker of the tiger in the cave above."
So she went every day, getting closer and closer, until one day the tiger sat on her lap. She then motioned towards "May I please pull your whisker off?" and the tiger showed a sign of acceptance. So she did, and brought the ingredients to the hermit. The hermit threw the whisker in a/the fire.
"Why!" she exclaimed, (I think, not sure) and the hermit responded with "if you're that willing to do something for your husband, just stay by his side, and never leave. Support him, and he will come back. That's the only thing that can truly cure him.
