You count down 5 spaces, and then right 4 spaces to get to the next point which means the slope is -5/4. For question 5, it is the same concept so from the left point you have to go down 2 and over 8, which makes the slope -2/8 but you have to simplify it to make it -1/4. The y-intercept is -1.5 because that is where the line crosses the y-axis
Starting from the point on the left at (-3,-2), you go to the left 4 which is the positive direction, and down 5 which is the negative direction. This brings you to the other point at (1,-3).
A negative times a negative results to a positive number, but when two negative numbers are added to each other, it still results to a negative number.
