If I remember correctly it was #2. The radical republicans wanted to punish confederate leaders so #3 is wrong. They did not want white southern representation in congress so #4 is wrong. And the democrats wanted to prevent freed slaves from owning land. Hope this helps!

But, on that note, his voyage to the new land forced Native Americans off of their land, and some of them into slavery. Columbus was violent and aggressive towards them in order to create what is now known as America.
