B- King made Gandhi's model more confrontational.  

The passage says that King took his protest straight to the source of oppression. Meaning that he and his protesters actively worked at the sites of oppression- lunch counters where African Americans were not allowed to be,  or marches to places where violence was being done. This meant that his protesters had to face more brutality.
