Which is the best claim for an argumentative paragraph?
slamgirl [31]

Answer: The Benin plaques hold the most unique place in the history of relations between Africa and West Europe because they are actually made of brass, not bronze.

Explanation:

An argumentative paragraph describes a paragraph in which the author hopes to change the mind of the reader on a previous claim.

In option A, the paragraph tries to convince the reader that the Benin plaques were actually made of brass not of bronze which would appear to be a prevailing view thereby making it an argumentative paragraph.

Write an informative essay in which you discuss the treatment immigrants often receive. Use "U.S. Immigration before 1965" and "
MaRussiya [10]

The USA was a country made up of immigrants, who helped build and lead the country to success together with Native Americans. However, many times, the country forgot the contribution of immigrants and created restrictions that severely damaged the lives of those who wished to participate in American society.

One of these restrictions can be observed in 1924 when the country limited the number of immigrants who could enter the country. This limitation stated that only 2% of the total number of people from each country that was already in the USA was allowed to enter. However, Asian immigrants were banned completely.

Another limitation occurred when the US government stated that only immigrants who could pass a basic reading test would be possible, once again, Asians could not participate in the text.

These limitations were very abusive, in addition to showing a high level of xenophobia that placed immigrants in humiliating and embarrassing situations. However, these limitations were lifted in 1965, with the Immigration and Naturalization Act, which established a new immigration policy.
